Mindfulness is a component of whole being.
It assists us in recognizing how our thoughts drive us and gives us a glimpse of how unconscious habits arise within our mind.
It can also be valuable in recognizing the triggers of habitual movement patterns and begin the process of changing harmful habits.
There are many different mindfulness practices. As with any practice, our skill improves with time.

I suggest you create a quiet environment for practice if that is possible. If not, try wearing headphones to decrease background sounds.
